Details about the many varied artists working within Ryedale will be winging their way around Yorkshire, thanks to a new directory.
The Ryedale ArtWorks 2014 Directory features a snapshot of 44 different artists and galleries within the district and will now be distributed to outlets near and as far away as Leeds, Scarborough and Whitby.
Ten thousand copies have been paid for by members of Ryedale ArtWorks who hope the catalogue, their third, will encourage art lovers to visit the area or discover more about their work via the internet.
It was launched at the group’s Annual General Meeting at Fat Betty’s Cafe in Ryedale Folk Museum, Hutton-le-Hole, on Thursday evening.
The group, which has been running for several years, also regularly show their work at The White Room Gallery, Priestley’s at no 36, York. Currently on show are sculptor Jennifer Tetlow, photographers Janet and Richard Burdon and Louise Dwyer, who specialises in jewellery.
