Flycasting, birds of prey, show jumping and tractor pulling are just a few of the attractions on show at the Pickering Game & Country Fair this weekend.

Thousands of people are expected to visit Pickering Showground on Saturday and Sunday for the 10th annual event which will feature experts who are leaders in country sports and pursuits.

Alongside the main ring attractions, there are opportunities for visitors to enjoy hands-on fun with a Fun Dog Show which starts at 9.30am and, new this year, a dog agility course where novices can have-a-go.

National clay pigeon shooting is also taking place with show-goers invited to put their trigger power to the test or, for people who enjoy a more sedate pace, they can join Hywel Morgan for flycasting tuition and demonstrations. Then there are the fast-paced ferret, terriers and lurcher racing and shows, with entry invited on the day.

Adults and children alike can get up close and personal with birds of prey or they can visit the reptile marquee.

There are also trade stands galore, craft & fine food marquee, quad bike rides, vintage vehicle displays, licensed bar and catering outlets selling food for all tastes. Parking is free. Gates open at 9am.
