Love is all around at Nunnington-based gallery Bils & Rye.

Owners Nick and Kate Bentley have decided to celebrate the gallery’s first birthday this Valentine’s Day with a selection of heart-themed artwork – and by donating their commission from any sales during February to Ryedale Special Families.

On offer are ceramic hearts by Karen Banks, Brittany Delany and Louise Hall as well as heart books by Rosy Hammersley and pewter hearts by Ella
McIntosh. A piece by street artist Scar is also up for grabs with 100 per cent of the sale price to be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

“It has been an exciting year, in which the gallery has built a strong reputation for exhibiting a wide range of contemporary sculpture, ceramics and paintings,” said Nick. “We’ve attracted the attention of some serious art lovers and collectors and we’re looking forward to introducing our audiences to the exhibitions we have planned for the next year.”

Pictured are Kate and Nick Bentley and some of the ceramic hearts which are on sale ahead of Valentine’s Day.
