Pickering Memorial Hall will celebrate the 13th anniversary of its renovation with a Ceilidh and “Bacon Butties, Baking and Beverages” morning next month.
Proceeds from the celebration weekend will help pay for maintenance work to keep the venue up-to-date.
“We have not raised our hire charges for over four years in the hope that the Hall will continue to be utilised by the local community in theses difficult financial times,” said committee member Mal Danks. “However, in order to maintain standards we do rely on the generosity and participation of the people of Pickering to whom the hall belongs.”
The anniversary celebrations begin with a Ceilidh on Friday, February 7, 7.30pm to 11pm, with music from Jackhare. Tickets are available from the hall or Television House. And on Saturday, 9.30am to 12pm, the hall hosts a Bacon Butties, Baking and Beverages morning. It will also include Play Your Cards Right. Raffle prizes or donations of cakes are welcomed. The hall can be contacted on (01751) 477522.
