The council's licensing team aims to safeguard the interests of both public donors and beneficiaries, facilitate well-organised collections by bona fide charitable institutions, ensure good standards are met, and prevent unlicensed collections from taking place.
If you have any concerns about the collectors in your area, please contact Scarborough Borough Council on 01723 232323 or contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 12200088487.
