Residents at Scarborough care home celebrate in Hawaiian style
Staff, residents and guests commemorated the day with a Hawaiian themed luau lunch especially created by the home's hospitality team as they decorated the home with traditional hula skirts as Hawaiian music played in the background. T
he care team entered the spirit of the day and dressed up to the delight of residents. In the afternoon the hosted a garden party with Hawaiian themed chair exercises, mouth-watering tropical mocktails and the residents showing everyone how to ballroom dance along with their attempts at the hula dance.

Hide AdGeneral manager Charlotte Nurse said: “Today has been all about encouraging the residents to celebrate more and it has been great fun for everyone. Our staff and the people who live here have really got involved with the celebrations and have really enjoyed themselves.”
Scarborough Hall care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers.
